Gangleri

The wolves stand beside me,
Both true and honest friends,
Named Geri and Freki,
They eat what my hand sends.

I, the Father of all,
With crows upon my crown,
Have seen many men fall,
Still, on my face, no frown.

Upon my horse I ride,
To worlds known and unknown,
To myself have I died,
And secrets I was shown.

One eye dead, one alive,
Fates of dead and living,
Do I know and make thrive,
I obey the Norns’ thing.
